Pippa and Jen met while taking photographs at a friend's wedding in 2007. They discovered a common passion for taking unique beautiful photos, and in 2008 Light Writing Photography was born.

Light Writing Photography is based in Edinburgh, although we are willing to travel depending on your needs.

Between them Pippa and Jenny have years of experience in photography and enjoy working together as a team shooting weddings and portraits.

Pippa:  I have always enjoyed observing moments and things of beauty in the world and using photography to record and remember them. I used to work as a portrait photographer, then worked freelance doing music gigs, fashion shoots, weddings, portraits and travel photography. Now I enjoy taking photographs of what captures my attention and shooting weddings and portraits.

Jen: Ever since I can remember photography has been in my life. I grew up watching my father work out of his studio in our garage and have been taking my own photos ever since I was given my own camera at the age of ten. I became more serious about photography in my early 20's and since then my passion has grown along with my experience. I love capturing the moments that we can never get back, so that we can remember them forever.
